Programs Customized Especially for Your Child

  • Partial Hospitalization (PHP) provides comfort, safety, and structure while allowing your child to live at home. This extra mental health support allows for a minimally restrictive environment, encompassing group, individual, and/or family therapies.
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is a step-down level of care when your child is transitioning back to school or needs extra support and structure while practicing and enhancing coping skills.
  • Psychiatric Care and Medication Management provides evaluation and monitoring for medications, including adverse reactions and side effects, to reduce mental health symptoms. When in PHP, your child sees the psychiatrist a minimum of 2x/week; in IOP, 1x/week.
  • Discharge Planning creates a smooth transition from the IOP/PHP programs. Prior to discharge, your child’s counselor works with you to schedule any needed post-discharge appointments based on their anticipated support needs.

  • Adolescent Group Therapy offers a safe community of fellow teens for experience-sharing and inspiration, with sessions led by seasoned mental health professionals.

How do you rate a place that helped save your child’s life? We had already went through a couple of other facilities and my daughter fell in love with MAM. She is truly happy, has accepted who she is, and loves herself. She is back in public school and has all A’s.

Why Mind Above Matter?

MAM exists to fill a genuine need for higher standards of mental health care in the DFW area. Our mission began when our founder witnessed—on a daily basis—the low standards of care, lack of care continuum, and disjointed collaboration offered in most mental health facilities. Many clients have experienced this firsthand before coming to MAM. It was this experience that catapulted Mind Above Matter’s purpose:

To relentlessly raise the standards of community mental health care.

Today we’re proud to be one of the only behavioral health companies in the area that offers day treatment in addition to outpatient care. This allows the young clients in our care to access the services that fit their individual needs and build lasting relationships with their clinicians and treatment teams.

My daughter’s experience here was top rate. She learned so much and everyone was so kind and helpful. It’s not always about being kind, but helping get to the root of the problem. They were able to do both. They were like a second helping hand to my daughter. She now has the tools to tackle this and she is going to beat it.
